Whos daily is better than their weekender?
Since picking up the 1M, I've been driving the weekend and trackday toy less simply because the 1M is so much fun.
I figure, if I'm going to have two, I might as well make sure I love using them both. So the weekender was built in '97, has 167,000kms on the clock, and is a fraction of the value of the M. The motor has never been opened and puts out 480 horse with some simple mods, doesn't drip a drop of oil and doesn't burn anything it shouldn't. And when she's on the track, she's fairly flogged, then she takes me home again on the 120km drive home. And just like the 1M, she makes me smile when I see her and laugh out loud when I take her out. And I just love walking back out to her after paying for the fuel. I'm so thankful car companies make cars like these. So who's picked up a daily that's just as good or better than their weekend toy? |

I love my daily just as much as my weekend 1M.
1996 Techno Violet M3. I think I get better reactions out of it too, even though it's (nearly) stock. |

The 1M is much more of a hooligan and I enjoy the torque every day. My M3 is all stock under the hood, but lots of suspension work. I do like driving the M3 to work as well, its much easier to extract the performance on the street without being in "arrest me and take me straight to jail" territory. The M3 also feels lighter and with the way it is setup it has a lot of mechanical grip without as many creature comforts. Lots of rattles, pops, and clunks from the suspension. |

Why not own multiple vehicles? Variety is the spice of life.

Sensational, so many of you with weekenders which are completely interchangeable with your 1M beaters... hahah..
Love it. And the Lancia..... oh man. In my dreams too. Beam3R, that M3 is gorgeous. Have to say. |

This weekend I drove my 8C which I think is a bit more special and has more character than the 1M but I really like them both. |
