BMW 1M Sold for $17K over MSRP!

This just in.....the new, loaded AW 1M at Braman Miami sold for U$17K over MSRP last week. The clincher.....buyer reportedly traded in a late model Porsche Carrera.

Cheers, fellow pilots!

Ha what a dumb move by the buyer. Trade in a newer 911 for a 1M at $17k over MSRP = FAIL!

Maybe he needed a midget seat in the back....The only reason that makes sense to me trading in a low mileage Porsche Carrera for a 1M would be the rarity of the 1M...For me, i would take the Porsche in a heartbeat over the 1M... The Carrera is a great great car and have driven it a few times. One of my dream cars, the Carrera new its over hundred grand so alway's on the lookout for a used one. The Porsche dealer is next to the BMW here and frequent them both weekly as i pass them.

not surprised. Dealers are rejecting offers for $5-$10k over msrp all the time now.

Apparently, practical backseats and some extra space for groceries come at a price.

If you're so much in lust, I can point you to a Black edition that is selling for significantly under that price with only 5000 miles on the clock.

Personally, I'd rather have a Cayman R but different strokes ... but that might be too close to the 1M in terms of performance and usability since you practically have a 1M.

If they price it at a higher price then the value of our 1M's goes up as well!! Our cars are rare we should be feeling good because the value of it increases as well! IMO..

I would need more power than the Cayman... and felt a little more cramped in the car than the Carrera. I am tall. The Porsche to me had more of a go-cart feeling than the BMW and the Porsche sound is unique and so is the handling and steering. One of my customers has the Carrera GT3 with those fancy red wheels and big wing...But i would be happy with a TurboS Carrera or even the S..Thankx for the offer ^^^really!! I had the opportunity to buy a new 1M...THANKZ THOUGH SOMEDAY I WILL OWN A PORSCHE

It is in Monroeville, just east of Pittsburgh. They have it sitting in the showroom.

That's Southern FL for you!

There was one I personally saw at Vista BMW in FL, sticker said $15K over sticker though SA said it is actually erroneous - it is $20K over sticker! (VO, loaded, posted it under classified section for those looking to be raped LOL)

The true value is in the eye of the beholder. I personally paid $5K over sticker and don't regret it.

Agree on that one! I paid more than double the MSRP because of the taxes and duties just to get one. But happy I did!

Folks, we should be thanking those who paid or are willing to pay over MSRP instead of criticizing them. After all, it only increases the value of our ponies. Value and price are not synonymous and it all hinges on scarcity as well. This only supports how great these cars are and how lucky we are to own one. Drive on.
