Just in: New photos of the upcoming BMW 1-Series LCI in Sedona/Vermillion Red
Reported on 1ADDICTS HOMEPAGE.
Now that the 1-Series coupe and cabriolet are at the halfway mark in their lifecycle talk has been brewing up of a midcycle refresh. And just in time, here are some new pictures of the upcoming BMW 1-Series LCI in Sedona or Vermillion Red. In BMW speak, LCI stands for Life Cycle Impulse and denotes a "facelift" for the car. Current rumors point to a December 2010 Official Reveal for the 1-Series LCI alongside the release of the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. The car will then be shown off in the flesh in January at the Detroit Auto show From what we can gather in these pictures and a set of pictures of the 1-Series ActiveE LCI involve a new front and rear bumper set. The new front bumper closely mirrors changes that were seen on the E90 LCI relative to the original E90 3-Series, which included more sculpted aerodynamic/brake intakes with horizontal black plastic bands along the center intake and new 'shoulders' added to the outter bumper trim itself to make the bumper more upright and forceful but at the same time more flowing (albeit less pronounced then the E90). Vertical air slats are are added at the corners adjacent to the foglamps to give hommage to the upcoming 1M. Headlights are also changed and now incorporate the new silver LED 'eyebrows' that have been quickly disseminating the entire BMW lineup. Presumably the new headlights will also incorporate LED technology at the same time. The rear lights will also undergo a change, and from the looks of these photos will most certaintly now use LEDs reminscent of the F10 5-Series and the 3-Series Coupe LCI Updated Photos: |

Aside from the black tape there still looks like there is some kind of mesh covering them so they arent fully clear yet, but at night it should look pretty awesome?

That is more like Vermillion REd, not Sedona I'd say....

I'm a little bummed that these changes didn't make it on the 2011 I currently have on order. :-(

why bother blurring out the license plate on a factory car? it's not like they have a house we'll stalk them at
and i'm pretty sure you can easily figure out where the design center is, along with factory, and head offices..... I see nothing special going on with the lights, however, i think the eyebrow is a joke. |

I bet they can be. I have seen peps do it on the 3 series. They need to be reprogramed though.

The only thing that going for that design is the clear indicators. The eyebrow sucks so does the front bumper.I can live the tail lights though.I wish I could find a easier[less expensive ]way of getting those clear indicators.

I can almost guarantee those indicators won't be what we get in north america, they will get a nice slice of cheese in the corner like everything else we get. I hope i'm wrong!
