M or 1M badge?

You guys noticed that the 1M just shows 'M' on the boot?

I know the official name is '1 Series M' but still having just 'M' on the boot is like you're driving a 'normal' version with M sport package.

Personally I'd like it to show 1M.

What do you think?

But not the X5, X6, 3, 5 and 6 series cars, WTF!

They could have made it .. 1 ///M as per the X5 ///M and X6 ///M badging. Obviuosly it is not a big factor for BMW as they are no doubt waiting for the new 1 series and will rename and badge the car as the ///M2, while the current car (1M) will be banished to oblivium as a one off special.

I like just the ///M, with the 1///M it makes it looks like the CLS550 with the AMG badges

The car will have plenty of M badges on it. My rear one will probably end up in a frame with my welt delivery picture and window sticker
Plus that makes it that much stealthier!

I don't think my financials will work out to let me buy this generation's 1M, but if I do, I'll be de-badging it. Although if I HAD to keep the badge on there, I'd add a "1" to the left of it to make it "1M."
