After CIC retrofit bluetooth not working
Hey guys,
a while back i did a CIC retrofit on my e87 and it all went well, with just the bluetooth not working. I figured that the CIC system that i had bought came from a car with a combox and i only have an MULF - didnt think much of it because i had been planning to get the car coded. But is this a matter of programming? The aux-in and USB that was there before are still working... I had taken it to a dealer who first said that he could do it to get the bluetooth to work etc, but then $230 later said it was not possible - so what i got was a very expensive car wash. Anyways i got the car booked with a BMW coding specialist tomorrow, he said he can do this for me (he has the autologic programming thing) but hes asked me to also find out what needs to be done. As far as ive researched its just the Cars vehicle order that needs to be updated? Removing S663 - Radio Professional Adding s609A - Navigation System professional. Some places ive read have said to add s620A and $6VA and the Order date must be #909 but i have a 2010 e87 MY2011 (i think its LCI) so i think i wouldn't need to change that. Or would i? And then the vehicle order needs to be applied to all the modules in the car. Guys does this sound right? What else will i need to do the get the MULF working with the CIC System. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. |

The bluetooth will probably be fine after coding. As for the date, that doesn't need to be change unless the car is older than 0909.
620 is for voice commands, so that's up to you, but you'll need the 609 and 6va. These things are probably easier to get dine with a normal laptop than the autologic, as the autologic often uses premade settings. |

Cheers mate thats good to know.
Would be doing it myself with a laptop but cant find a damn USB-OBD cable that works. Bought one off ebay and it was just crap, seller even replaced it but the cable must just be poor quality. Car's still at the shop, will update once i get it back. Thanks again. |

Bumping this from the grave as I have the same issue. Did coding fix your bluetooth issue? After the retrofit, my car does not move from the searching/connecting screen after I click telephone in the idrive menu.
