Vacuum bleeding not working?
Tried to use a vacuum tool to flush brake fluid but it will build full pressure and not pull any fluid. Is there some kind of check valve on these cars that do not allow this to be done?
Old fashion pressing the brake pedal worked. |

Old fashion way is superior anyway so long as you don't bleed the system dry. I found the pressure bleeder to honestly just be a convenience tool for someone working alone.
There is no reason why the fluid shouldn't flow freely once you open the reservoir cap and crack the bleed valve. Iv'e only heard of people having trouble getting fluid to flow in completely bone dry systems or air-locked systems. |

The pressure bleeder was a great investment for me. Worked great on the 1er as well as on my Volvo V70 since they use the same cap, and kept me from asking my wife to come pump the brakes. Keeping my hobby wife-independent is well worth $50.

I have both a Motive and a Schwaben pressure bleeder. Buy the Schwaben, it's the same cost-wise and it's a much better tool. ECS sells it.

Try gravity bleed. Just attach a tube and container, crack open the bleeder, make sure the reservoir is topped off and you can walk away for 10-15 minutes before checking the brake fluid level.
