Best Pumpkin LSD for the 128i
Anyone changed out their pumpkin? What ratio is the best for manual? Automatic? What car model does it come out of? Thanks!

the others need the input Flange changed or your driveshaft modded & balanced to get 3.38, 3.46 and maybe 3.91. Other pumpkins would need half-shafts at the very least changed.

I'd stick with the 3.73
I replaced my diff unit only and kept my stock final drive ratio (MT/3.23). I figured that with a 3.73 at the speeds I cruise at, the RPMs would be too high for my liking. |

I don't remember if there is a small pumpkin version of 3.91 without going to someone to get custom unit with LSD.

Would a LSD unit for an e92 M3 work in an auto e82?

lots of work. ( half shaft, driveshaft mod, maybe bearings with knucles etc)
just look for a e92 m3 take off complete diff and subframe with arms and brakes
