Fabric seat option as part of hot weather package?
I lept out of my sister's Pacifica loaner yesterday because the seats were on fire. It was parked in the hot Houston sun during a movie outing and the car was unbearable to be in. As the current owner of a Cooper S with fabric seats I beg BMW to reconsider this whole premium brand/leather thing. Leather is no big deal any more, you can get it in a Kia. Fabric seating surfaces, like those offered in other markets, are simply more comfortable in hot (and perhaps in cold) climates.
If I can order heated seats and steering wheels for cold climates let me have the fabric option for 100 degree summers. |

Should not be a problem since its offered in Europe... I got Fabric in centre, and leatherette in the sides on mine. I like it that way.

That's what I am talking about. Since all 1ers are built in Leipzig it seems goofy that the car on the production line behind mine can have options I can't have.
