Hi all

Just thought I'd say hi to all, been reading the forums for a while now, and since my AW 1M is now sitting @ Fishermans Island I thought I should Jump on.

Ordered my 1M in January after splitting up with the wife (mid life crisis purchase), only found out I was definitely getting one back in June and finally it's only days away

I have never waited for something so long in my life, and now I have worked out I am a very impatient person.

Pretty sure we got 2-3 AW 1M but I haven't even seen one on the road yet!!!

The only 1M's I have seen are on billboards and my computer screen

Nah so far no 1M owners in Brisbane have come to any meets. I have seen an AW1M on the gold coast, but it wasn't Gazz...

Not sure when the next meet is yet, we usually plan it a week or two before it goes down unless it's needed to be planned well in advance. You can only come if you let one of us race you for pink slips though. Just joking! it's always great fun with great company.

I did a big end bearing last time out and have taken the opportunity to strengthen up the whole engine. The only weak point on the car after this will be the gearbox so i will keep going with it till it fails and then I'll replace it with a sequential box. That's some expensive parts that are coming from the states. Who is doing all the work if you don't mind me asking? They must know there stuff. Sounds like a real beast though, I will have to come out and see it in person some day. A sequential box in that car would be epic!

Scott Robinson at Motorline has been doing most of it for me. His knowledge is incredible, he has helped me shave a couple of seconds a lap in my E30 in just set up changes alone. All of my new internals are coming from VAC Motorsport in the states. I've got forged pistons coming from Mahle and they are currently on their way to Germany to get a special coating on them. My engine block is currently down in Melbourne at one of the only engine companies that will work on a BMW alusil engine. So basically i've got stuff scattered all over the wokld for it and just waiting for it all to come together. As you can imagine i can't wait. Once I've got it sorted, i'll invite some of you brissy guys out to QLD raceway for some passenger runs!!
