A group buy for my ripoff $400 registration would be great, too. Hehe. Kouper, too since his should be due in a couple of weeks as well.

Problem is if you get them to do a group buy, then you'll force me to order a set darn it! I'm sure there are a lot of people on the site though that would buy them and likely prefer to support and buy from an American company than have to deal with a company overseas and deal with all that customs BS, etc. etc.

Depending on how low the price is, I might go and do the gb for the blacklines.

Heard back from ECS this morning. They don't do group buys. They did offer a discount of about $30/set if someone wants to purchase 5 sets of Black Lines and then sell them, but that doesn't offer much of a discount when you factor in that the seller would then also need to charge shipping - and this box was pretty large. So in the end, it doesn't appear that we can save any ca$h with ECS at this time.

Looks like we'll have to wait for another sale, like gregthegr8 mentioned.

Don't count on it, people have been waiting for someone to drop the price on these or organize some GB. Your're just going to have to bite the bullet and buy new from Schmiedmann or wait for a used set on classifieds.

I am interested in getting blacklines and would be in if a group buy was possible. Since that doesn't seem likely, I might need to head over to the Schmiedmann's web site. Looks like it would be $377.63 if I were to order today... I think I'll wait for a sale.

Apparently you pushed your car into an invisible 4th dimension since we don't see anything!

I usually take the highway to...the daaaanger zone. Ride into....THE DAAAAANGER ZOOOOOOONE!

Oh, after I posted this the pic appeared. Nevermind.

Don't do it!!! I can tell you what happens when your chin rides over the curb and deforms the structure of the bumper... it's not pretty and costs about $1200 to replace! Of course, the piece of concrete that damaged my car was about 6" taller and 2' narrower...

yeah that's pretty much a new bumper and respray. almost had to do it recently but there wasn't too much damage (wasn't actually cracked). they 'melted' it back in place and resprayed the whole thing ($750ish)- looks good but it's killing me waiting for it to cure before putting a clear film back on it... oh god, all the rocks. all the chips!

I really wish I could see LMB and DSB right next to each other in person. Yours looks so good in the light too. I'm not big on going out in the sun either but that's where our blue's come out!

I agree, and so are dings and nicks from ***** humans who don't know how to park. Already had a nice white streak on my side mirror (that i cleaned up) and now it's a nice red paint gash from someone else's door on my door. And the irony is the farther out i try to park, the stickier they get to my 1.

I'm going to buy those orange danger cones and put them around my car anytime i park from now on.

Here's where I used to park with my old car a couple years ago, which I called my concrete box. Was the greatest thing ever.

+1. The underground parking spots in my building are deeded separately, so you can buy and sell them. That "concrete box" spot would sell for like $40k here!!

You can imagine how pissed I was after a year when we got kicked out of that building, which is a giant high-rise condo that was still under construction, and forced to park in a giant outdoor lot that gets crazy busy anytime there's a game at the Staples Center. =(
