Power Loss on 1M

Hi all:

Yesterday I was on my way home. As I always do, close to my house there is a nice road where I let the fury go. On my the shift to 2nd gear I heard a thump in the engine bay. After that started the loss of power. No turbo engagement.

The strange thing is that there are no codes, nor CEL lights on etc etc.

The car runs normal at 1/8 throttle. As soon as I go over that, the engine bogs and doesn't generate any power.

Anyone has an idea of what could be wrong?

Possibly the hot pipe on the turbo has become disconnected (a common event on turbo cars), but this would normally set a code.

Might also want to also check the charge pipe, there have been reports of it cracking/failing at the joint where it clips to the throttle body.

Does it still do this after a restart?

Yea, you definitely probably popped something off in the turbo system. Start at the charge pipe and go backwards..diverter valves, FMIC etc.
