What are you talking about? What do cows, and India - and Hindus for that matter - have to do with anything that was said here? How did you possibly arrive at a curse at a cow from anything that was said here? Didn't he clearly say that he was translating gov from Farsi?

overactive mind trying to connect the dots between cows, farsi, hindus and india. it is an insult in farsi, which i'll try and use on one of my indian and pakistani coworkers at work and see their reactions.

And somehow coincidentally someone who is either Indian or Pakistani might also understand Farsi?

It was 14 years ago, I was ten years old. I was on a family trip in San Jose with my parents. We were visiting my Dad’s friend from college who had just purchased a brand new 328is. This thing was freaking amazing. Stick shift and all. I remember going on a drive with my Dad. We were going through all these windy roads and I was watching my Dad really enjoying the car. He was shifting with such passion. For guy who is like a stone, it was weird seeing him so passionate. I ask him, “Dad, why don’t you buy one these, they’re so nice?” He immediately pulled over. He then turned to me and said Hooman (my first name, yes it is my real first name) and said, “I could but I won’t, I want to save my money and give you all that you need to become successful, and when you do, make me proud and buy yourself one, then take me for a spin.” I remember getting serious. I told him, “Dad, I promise you by the time I am twenty five, I will own my own BMW, and I will make the family proud.” Well here I am fourteen years later and a year ahead of schedule…..I pick up my baby on Monday….Jet Black/PP/SP/Aluminum Trim/Stick Shift (of course)/iDrive/Satellite Prep.

Thanks to all in this forum for accompanying me on my journey ordering my dream car….
Great story! Congratulations on your car and making your dad proud.

I love the Z4!!!!

Hiring a Z4 and taking it for a drive through the Tambourine Mountains near the Gold Coast in Queensland (Northern Australia - think Great Barrier Reef ) is what really got me converted, and started my BMW love affair beyond voyeurism. For a year after I was telling people "I can still feel the steeringwheel in my hands"

When I test drove the E90, I said if it is anything like the Z4, I will get it, and all I have got to say is that the E90 is a seductive mistress who knows every trick in the book.
