New rims, and non-rft tires on the way pressure question

So I have new wheels, and tires on order from Tire Rack, should be here Tuesday. I went from the stock staggered 18s to 225/45r17 square. I am trying to figure out if I should use the same pressure from the door for the staggered setup, or should the pressure change going to 17s, and non staggered.

Wheels are OZ Ultraleggera 17x8
Tires are General G-Max AS-03 225/45r17

I use 225/40/18 in each corner and I run @ 38psi in each corner. Since the car is balanced pretty much 50/50 front to rear I use the same tire pressure all around if using the same tires. My wife's car is also a 128i with 225/45/17 and we use the same pressure. I have tried the recommended 35 and it works fine but I like the steering feel at 38 psi. Much higher than 38 and to me the straight line stability suffers. At 40 psi it's like running on ball bearings rather than tires.

Cool, thanks. I will start at 38, and see how it feels, and how the tires wear, and go from there. I think the recommended for my car is 36 front 38 back, but it makes sense to have the same all around

thanks x2. I have been meaning to check the pressures on my tires as they just got mounted last week. Been doing some cruising and the handling felt funny. There's way more feedback from the hankooks compared to the stock RFTs but they felt a bit odd. Checked the pressure and they were all close to 30 PSI. Bumped them up to around 38 PSI and went out yesterday and the the car feels much better.
