135 from my ED trip

Well just got back from my ED pick up. Awesome experience, unfortunately I'm separated from my baby for who knows how long till she gets redelivered to me.

Was this picture taken @ the Marriott hotel in MUNICH!?

No worries, I know about separation anxiety with your car. However, the wait is worth it.

Haha sure was, had to rush back there after my delivery to check out, they let me have a late checkout until 2pm and managed to get back right at 2:00.

Thanks Vjordan. Stuck with the grey poplar trim, looks great. Really happy with everything.

Have you gotten yours back yet?

Sounds good, haven't decided on what to do about the tires, I did get the wheel and tire plan they offered, figured in case I do end up sticking with the RFTs it best to be protected. Other than that think I'll add the performance grill, possibly the spoiler for now. May look into a Dinan in the future....who knows. For now just gotta sit tight till i can get down to the Performance Center for my redelivery

Looks awesome - and good choice on the Performance Center re-delivery. It is worth any extra wait you may have. The drive back from South Carolina will be a blast, too. Going to take the Blue Ridge Parkway?

Haven't looked at any routes back to Maryland, I'm assuming you've done the drive so I'll welcome any advice suggestions on heading back this way.

Be prepaired to wait a bit...

I dropped my 128i off in Frankfurt on July 21, it arrived in Newark on August 14, cleared customs on August 19, and it cleared the Department of Agriculture on September 1.

The current schedue says that I get it back on September 7.

Eeek, yea I read you're other posts about your delays and the online tracking. Sounds pretty miserable. I'm praying that mine doesn't take quite as long, but we'll see.

I dropped mine off in Munich, but they only gave me a 1-800 number to call. Is there a better way for me to try and track my car?

Blue Ridge was a great drive, although there's a speed limit, great mountain road. (There is some road construction, though, and the detours are not well marked.)

We took the BRP through NC, then hooked onto I-77 into West Virginia. It's too bad you're in Maryland, the West Virginia highways are wonderfully maintained, wide, empty, and with a 70 MPH speed limit.

If we'd had another day to kill, we might have gone up and checked out the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee.

Thanks guys!

jkp I might have to look into some W. Virginia driving even if it's not on my return from the PC. Hopefully it's nice enough to drop the top on the way home.

wmo: Just checked the website I'm on the Don Pasquale. Where'd you track it to get those pictures of the ship. Kinda bummed I missed your ship and have to wait another week for my ship to leave. Also was hoping mine would ship directly down to South Carolina looks like I'll have to wait for it to arrive in Jersey then trucked down to the PC...ah well.
