So, you're saying it's either a conversion or a conversion?

^ LOL

I think it has been shown somewhere else on the Interweb that this particular vehicle has an automatic gearbox.

Thus I am correct on both counts

Actually the bumper is fine - it's the flared quarter panel that is off.

It's for sure a replica not real 1M but I like it and would love the 1M in a convertible.

To know whether it's for real, simply check under the car's rear end for the 1M's dangly bits: no variable M differential lock = no 1M.

No ///M(artini), no party.

I was just about to say that. The 1M has M3 brakes. Those definitely AREN'T M3 brakes.

I highly doubt it's a real 1M that they turned into a cabriolet. Can you imagine the work involved? Not just cutting the original roof off, but actually installing the mechanism to control the top etc.?

I have to say it, but I think this is butt ugly. The hood and the matte colored green/gray wrap. Those wheels are awful too. Sorry if I've offended someone's taste.

Detail: it features LED daytime lights integrated in the front bumper, a bit like the ones on the forthcoming BMW 1-Series PDM1R Aerodynamic-kit (for non 1M 1ers).
