I think it has been shown somewhere else on the Interweb that this particular vehicle has an automatic gearbox. Thus I am correct on both counts |

To know whether it's for real, simply check under the car's rear end for the 1M's dangly bits: no variable M differential lock = no 1M.
No ///M(artini), no party.

I highly doubt it's a real 1M that they turned into a cabriolet. Can you imagine the work involved? Not just cutting the original roof off, but actually installing the mechanism to control the top etc.?

Detail: it features LED daytime lights integrated in the front bumper, a bit like the ones on the forthcoming BMW 1-Series PDM1R Aerodynamic-kit (for non 1M 1ers).
