That front bumper design is horrible! I hope that's not an accurate prediction.

Where are those M-styled Fenders? It's gonna look great on the m1!

I love it overall - and with 355hp and DCT it will be a lot closer to a 4 sec car than 5

Frankly, I don't really care how this thing looks. If they can deliver a 135i with a:
-7 speed DCT
-LSD
-M3 suspension bits
-<3200lbs
->350whp

They've got a buyer in me

Well, I guess I am glad it is just a rendering....I am looking for distintive features that will set it apart from the average 1er. Be it the hood bulge, slits on the side, or what have you....

I really thought that the headlights would be addressed in some way, but maybe that was just a hope....

I hope this isnt accurate because by the looks of it the M5 and 1M will have a bumper similar to the M3. I hope both of these new cars look unique like all other Ms.

not bad, i don't think the lines will be that aggressive though, probably rounder. the lights will also be different.

The side gills do serve an important purpose, they vent hot air out of the engine bay. Notice that the X5M and X6M don't have them, probably because their engine bay is so large and there's so much frontal area for intakes so they don't have issues venting the heat but this proves that BMW doesn't slap vents on a car unless they're useful.

I didn't like the ones on the E46 or E60 with the chrome slats but I think the current generation ones like the E92 M3 has look amazing.

I like everything about the E46. Not so much the E60 gills. The new ones on the M3 coupe look tacky from some angles.

.

They're a syling cue, and not much more. You're not moving much air through that opening.

Especially when you consider how much pastic covering is between the engine and the vent (The hood vents are a different story, as you can also see).
