THE BMW AUTOMOBILIA EXCHANGE @BMW Museum this Sunday!!...
THE BMW AUTOMOBILIA EXCHANGE, held inside the BMW Museum on Nov 11th, (Sunday!) 2012 from 10am to 2pm. Admission to the Museum is free! Sounds pretty cool to me!
http://www.bmw-welt.com/en/events/au...ve_market.html The BMW Automobilia Exchange is the annual highlight for collectors of rare antiquarian automobile-related literature and exclusive model cars. This year the exchange is to be held on 11 November (SUNDAY) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Munich’s BMW Museum. Admission to the BMW Museum is free for sellers and visitors on that date. In 2012, well-known Munich-based author and automobilia collector Walter Zeichner is taking over the organisation of the exchange from founder Georg Amtmann, who died in June of this year. Zeichner has extremely good relations with BMW and was responsible for automobile history at the BMW Archive for many years. He played a significant role in helping decide on the content of the new BMW Museum and is well-known as a collector of rare car-related literature. Whether you are looking for an original brochure for your own vintage car or the model car of your dreams, the chances of finding just what you want are very good. Naturally the exchange is not just a big deal for BMW fans almost every brand, from A for Abarth to Z for Zagato, is represented in the BMW Museum. All car fans are welcome!

Good to know! ebay is blocked at the office, I'll check it out tonight. For 50 euro I think it should have the M-Sport package.
If you see one at the toy show let me know.

^^^Dave, if you find a 1M model...get it for me and I'll reimburse you...as long as it's reasonable...not wanting to spend 150€ on a BMW model....

I think my chances will be better to find one at Essen Motor Show next month though. I think any 1M model under 100 euros is a good deal.

I went to the Memobilia show today at the BMW Museum. It was quite interesting seeing lots of toy models from yesterday/yesteryear...
I did keep my eye out for a 1M 1:43 scale models... but no such luck. I did pick myself up a German 1M brochure though! Enjoy, Dackel

The 1/43 1M is going for crazy prices at the current time. The latest I seen was at euro 799. There is no way to get them for under euro 100.
However the company that made them for BMW before they went insolvent have been acquired by another company along with the rights of the 1/18 BMW X3 and BMW 5er Gran Turismo and 1/43 BMW M3 GTS. They have since introduced the 1/18 X3 and 5er Gran Turismo , It is hoped the 1/43 1M is coming too. A Chinese company that specializes in diescast 1/18. Has expressed a desire to manufacture A 1/18 model of the 1M in its three colors... Although someone with exceptional modelling skills was too impatient to wait for one.
