I really hope you can fit in the car with a helmet and still maintain your proper seat height (not the case in my 135. My seat must be un-naturally low)

So I guess that means give us a sunroof delete option.

And I want the performance seats that we can't get here in the states standard with some nice butt bolster reinforcement to help prevent the hole that is going to be result from getting in and out.

Other than that, I'm more concerned with the exterior styling changes.

Un-naturally low? I'm curious how tall you are and if you have power or manual seats. I'm 5'11" and have my manual seats in the lowest setting which fits perfect. With the seats any higher, it feels like I'm riding on the car rather than in it.

I don't think it will be standard..it does not improve driving dynamics..so I dont see it being standard.

I have manual seats. I'm 5'11", and the lowest setting is way too low for someone my height to be in a proper driving position on normal roads. At the track it's ok, but still a little low for proper visibility/positioning.

You won't have to worry about that with a CF roof.

true, but it improves safety tenfold. Many states in the US no longer allow people to talk on a hand held phone anymore, so I'm hoping that we'll see bluetooth made standard on more and more vehicles in the coming years.

Short and to the point, but well said.

Pretty simple really:

I want to see that I have my auto windshield washers on without having to crane my neck around the steering wheel to see a tiny green LED on the end of the control...

i wouldn't call it crap, but I would call it ugly.

If we all listened to Jeremy Clarkson, we wouldnt be driving BMW's.

Jeremy Clarkson is a BMW hater, who claimed he would never buy one.
He is the same guy who said the 335i coupe "doesn't look as good as a hyundai"

In that same review he said the N54 was "short of a masterpiece", but when driving the 135i he said the N54 was a "masterpiece"

Jeremy Clarkson is entertaining, and I enjoy Top Gear, but I don't believe his reviews are to be taken too seriously.

I suggest you form your own opinions. I love BMW's, and probably wouldnt be happy with 95% of all cars in production. There are cars he "drools" over that I wouldnt want to even borrow for a spin.

OK. I'll make it simple:

- Cloth interior. No heated seats. No heated steering wheel.
- ///M Logos on the instrument cluster
- Tach has the same Redline "Block" as the TTI photo above
- Blackfaced instruments please
- Manual climate control
- No extra electronic stuff. Maybe traction control, that's it.
- No sunroof, no comfort access, no bluetooth, no Nav
- Audio system delete. (Speakers add weight.)
- Maybe an A/C Delete option?

Am I alone on this? Sometimes I think in order to get this, I'd have to consider purchasing an early 90's M3 instead.

I think BMW owes the U.S. market a track package, which pretty much sumbs out your list. Except would prefer Alcantera interior

What you want is a track package. While I ordered mine M-Sport/6MT, without iDrive, electric seats and other electronic extras, I did opt for a few luxury items, like leather, heated seats, upgraded stereo/iPod accessory since I did not want a track car, but something I would enjoy driving daily. Only someone with a death wish would delete the A/C where I live (summer before last it easily hit 104ºF/40ºC), and I fully enjoy both the auto climate control and auto lights - now all I have to do is get and drive.

Gotta have AC for sure.
For most this would be the daily driver and the only car we own.
Gotta have AC/Climate control.

I don't think we'll be seeing things like auto-climate delete, AC delete, radio delete on an ///M1. IMO, those would be things BMW would option/spec on a GTS or CSL variant ///M. It still has to be up to BMW's level of luxury.

I do agree though, a track package or option would be rad for those who don't want some creature comforts in lieu of performance.

I highly doubt you'll see this in the M1. Maybe in the M1 GTS or CSL varient if they decide to make one.

+10000000. Unfortunatley it will not be so, but as you said it could be an M1 CSL. Who knows maybe BMW will do one. But I hope not ONE as the M5 CSL. I do not understand this in fact. Is it so expensiv to make a CSL version? Just stripping the car is already enough. And adding a Power-Kit, Carbon Air-Box and Exhaust is not difficult. Maybe yet Drive-Train. Any, it can't cost that much.

Your (our) wish has been granted. See Scott26's thread with info about the "Personalization Program" that will be offered on the ///M1.

P.S. noticed you're in Ladera Ranch... my sister and her family live off Windmill near Beachfire.
