Before and After Tint (Sorry for Crappy Cell Phone Pics For Now)

Here are some before and after tint pics with a medium (30%) huper optik tint. Still waiting to get the high resolution digitals, but in the meantime, enjoy:

Wow that looks really good. I've yet to see silver with tint on here. It works so well!

Car looks nice, but it looks like you photographed through a nylon stocking. Try wiping the lens with your finger at least.

I imagine it looks awesome, but the pics don't do it justice. Let's just hope the "tint guy" sends those high resolution pics soon.

Ya, I probably have a nice thick layer of dirt on the lens. Oops!

It's 30% huper optik tint. Ya, I hadn't seen a tinted silver yet either on here so thought I'd post some pics to give people an idea. The contrast works really well. I imagine an alpine white or cashmere silver would have the same effect. Blue water too I guess.

I am still debating on tint. Really afraid of the bubbling as the car ages despite of lifetime guarantee. Bubbling is inevitable. I would go for a light tint on my TiAg, maybe a little more gray than black.

I hear you Robert. I went in thinking I was going to go light, but it just looked TOO faint. I think mine's a lil dark for my particular tastes, but sure looks good and I think the light looks better if you have the shadowline whereas I have the chrome.

How did it come out with all the microdots on the windows. The way it looks on my front windows really bothers me now..

I'll let you know about the dots in the next couple of days, but the guy warned me on a few of the windows to take a towel and push against all the dots cause he said they will almost never stick to them.

What microdots? Is there another thread with pics and/or better explination of what these are?

You know those annoying dots on the back window around the edge? Well 135 has it on the doors along the edge, so its very hard to put film on it without leaving some air or making it look uneven. Mine looks kind of weird, thinking of going back and having them redo the front. But its been only five days, so wait another week see if dries out.

you really are never going to get dot matrix 100% what i would do is go over it with a credit card wrapped in micro fiber to try and press the film down but it really is never going to be 100%

Need more pics! Can't decide on 30% or 35%.. Maybe 35% will suffice on my Jet Black

Photos aren't that bad, just need a tiny bit of contrast tweaking. Although the two after photos do have a bit of a back lighting issue which washes out the color a bit.

Will do my best to try to post some new pics today. I'm going to call the tint guy and get him to e-mail me the pics. Honestly, I think the tint is a wee bit dark for what I wanted, but the light (45%) after seeing it on another 135 from that shop looked a wee bit light, so I just went one shade darker. I think I had that luxury considering my car was silver and has the chrome trim. I think if you have a black car with the shadowline trim, you might want to err on the side of light otherwise it's just black black black. Although that may be what you want. I would suggest 35%. I went with the huper optik so I couldn't quite choose the exact percentage I wanted. I think it makes my car look like a real bad ass and compeltely transformed the look of the car, but might not look as classy and elegant as I'd hoped...been questioning whether I should have gotten the light (45%) in the last day or so. Hmm....
