Bad o2 Sensor and Cracked Tail light

Dropped off my '09 135i yesterday at the dealer and got a call today with the results. First, the third tail light had cracked and fell off. Tried to get that covered but they didn't budge since its not under warranty. They quoted me around 200 to get it fixed so I'm buying the part and fixing it myself. The other issue and more important one is a bad o2 sensor. I was told it is the precat o2 sensor in bank 1. It will cost over 600 for the repair at BMW in Temple. Has anyone had any experience with replacing any of the o2 sensors? Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!

OK please do not pay $600 to replace a lambda o2. That is an absurd price. It’s not a hard swap at all, when the car is off the ground you can trace the sensor from the downpipe upwards. A competent indy can do it in very little time.

Yeah when he told me the price I immediately said no thanks. I'll be getting the part and I have someone to lend a hand.
