No no, that happens to be because of my own personal situations.

From what I can understand, we can probably do an ED within a couple of months. I just can't leave the country until october. So if I order for a november pickup, it means I have to go there in the winter, which I prefer not to do (driving on the mountain roads in winter with summer tires? No thanks). That means I have to wait for a spring pickup.

The earliest you might be able to get a 335 via E.D. would be the 2nd week of October, providing that BMWNA permits September production cars for E.D. allocation, which I think they will. But someone needs to contact the E.D. department to find out for sure.

Cool. I just "pre-ordered" my 328i. Space grey, black leather with grey wood, premium, sport & heated seats. Manual transmission, 'natch.

so, contacted BMWNA about Style 230 wheels for the US. The rep told me "at this time" he has no information about an any sort of optional 19" wheel for the 335i. He did disclaim by saying that things can still change before cars officially can be custom ordered but at this time, the only wheel upgrade for the 335i is the wheel that comes with the sport package (18" style 189?).

Looks like I need to befriend our Canadian neighbors

I just called my contact @ BMWNA European Delivery and he said that there will be limited production during August of the 328/335 Coupe and as such, there WILL BE SOME allocations available as early as September 25th!

This info hasn't been made public yet....not even to the dealers. E.D. told me that if the dealers ask about it, they can get a car that early, but the info isn't being made readily available (usual 1st deliveries are in October). The E.D. dept was told this yesterday via E-Mail.

So if anyone was thinking about E.E.D. (Early European Delivery), you might want to give your salesman a call.

Pick up STARTING September 25th......however, limited production slots 'cause August production is a light month, so if you're interested, I'd ask my dealer about it.

So when the prices come out (U.S.) then the ED prices will be out too? I want to do ED to save money but heard that it would not be available for some time after the release (sept) of the e92. BMW is ALREADY building these cars....witness the 'arrival' pics posted here & elsewhere of several units to European dealers. BMW always sends out a few of these to U.S. dealerships during the summer;; they are just not customer-ordered cars. They are kind of like demo cars for them to show to prospective buyers (displayed in the showroom). The prices MUST accompany those units.

That being said, the prices are probably less than two weeks away, if not sooner, as I would expect these early units to start showing up here in the U.S. in the same time-frame. And yes, the E.D. prices arrive together with the regular pricing, but don't expect much discounting (other than the E.D. discount) if you order a car this early.
