Hey Ian,

I would suggest waiting until we announce. It should not be more than a couple of months. Before that we are trying to get as many of the base ROMs added as we can.

Cheers,
Rob

I have a Jan.2011 build 135i.Currently only have PPK.Will this work for the later build date and can the dealer detect/void warranty if I return it back to the PPK when bringing it in if I have an engine/power warranty issue. Thanks

There are two ECUs. The MEVD172 (supported) and the newer MEVD1726 (not yet supported) that can come in a USDM MT2012 or later Exx series car. A build date of 01/2011 should be the supported MEVD172.

The AP will save off the PPK on install and put the PPK back upon uninstall leaving your car as it was since the last time the dealer saw the car.

Cheers,
Rob

I know it is completely off-topic and a bit gimmicky, but is there any chance for a no-turbo(open WG) map like the JB4 map 8(for the ye olde N54)? I would love to get better than 21.9 mpg in an eco like map. Even the stock map gives me 21.9 mpg and this is just cruising freeway mpg...

In addition to that request does the N54 cobb shut the wastegates at idle, as I know some BMW DME versions leave them open, increasing lag?

+1, that's a very good question, I remember that Dackel was talking about this a while ago.

It is certainly something we can look into. Boost response seems to have increased with the tune, however if there is more lag than liked we can look into fixing the issue.

It might be something we can do. I will run it by Jason, our tuner. As a side note, this map can be created via ATP/ATR when it's out.

Yes, I do standing 1/2 mile runway events and my car hits the 130mph limiter since it's a non-sport.

I was given the keys of my 135i N55 on dec 30 2011. Is this version of AP compatible with my ECU?

Thanks

If it's a 2011 than yes. If it's a 2012 than no.

I have not seen many Cobb post recently. Are people just waiting that Cobb give a little more for the n55 engine? I'm anxiously waiting to get my tune, but I guess I'm a little hesitant at this stage of the tune.

I called Cobb last week and told them that my car was delivered by the end of Dec 2011 and it's a 2012. Then I told them I would like to give it a try since there is a 30 days return policy. They said that's fine.

I got the AP today and hooked it to my pc to update the firmware then connected it to my car. And it worked! my ECU was supported, I have it on Stg1 aggressive.
