That's what it says on their website:

NOTE: From August 2013 only AS/NZS1698:2006 helmets will be acceptable.
AS1698 and BS6658 will not be allowed in competition after this date
regardless of date of manufacture.

It didn't say anything about AS/NZS1698 though! anyways, we'll find out when we get there but they would probably let us get away with it this time and then it's time for a new helmet. I only bought mine last year and used it a handfull of times!

I'm planning to get there around 530ish. We should all be in one lane so whoever gets there first, let us know what lane you you're in.

Thanks guys for coming out! It's was a fun night despite quite a few stoppages and only managing 4 runs.

Managed to get my new PB of 12.569 @ 115.54 with a 2.069 60ft. Tried dropping down my tyre pressures to 20psi which I think helped with the launch but then again looking back to my previous results I was able to manage similar 60fts with 26-32 psi and higher ETs. Might just need to work on my technique. Hopefully I can head out again in the next couple weeks and pull a low 12.

Also managed to capture this 0-100 time, though I think it was probably due to some wheelspin when changing into second

It was certainly good fun, but frustrating as i had only managed to get 3 runs in and being a first timer it felt like it was going to take me at least 6 runs to get it all right!

The 1st run was a shocker for me, wheelspin 1st shifted into 2nd more wheelspin, 3rd gear it just spun so i chucked it in 4th and coasted the rest of the strip...

2nd time round i snagged the 1st to 2nd shift and the 2nd to 3rd...

The final attempt i botched the launch but managed to get smooth shifts and got a 13.4.

I had read that the manual n54's are difficult at the drags, it's not until you get to the strip you realise just how difficult it is to get a clean launch and smooth shifts

Was good to catch up the other night. Great to meet you Shane. Well done on the new PB Alex, and of course MO's car always running strong.

I'd rather not talk about my efforts or lack thereof. I had a software update last month that fixed the issues I was having however I was robbed of my Launch Control. Still working with BMW to find out WTF happened. Unfortunately you can't brake boost the DCT so I had to just roll it off the line and then hit WOT. Looked like a real noob sitting at the staging lines trying to activate LC while the car's in the other lane were at the end of the strip. I've used LC in the car before so I know it had it.

Only managed 3 runs with the best being 12.9 and the best trap of 112mph. Car was running flash only, dp's and IC.

Hoping to regain my LC back otherwise that will be the last time this car ever see's the strip.

Your not wrong mate. The manual is a challenge!
I've gone down with a few miss shifts, and traction problems too.

Are you guys using the NLS function on your cars?

It was causing an ignition issue on mine so I turned it off but if yours is working fine you guys should try it out. Definitely helps with making your shifts much cleaner and more consistent.

I don't think I've got the latest Jb4 board to do it.
You need the g5 ISO, right?

Hmmm I'm not 100% sure but I think you need the G5. ISO is not necessary as a G5 board can be modded to become ISO.

I'm always keen to head out! I probably have a few weeks free until my M3 parts are all installed so whenever just let me know and I should be able to make it.
