Infinite replacement tires for the life of the insurance term under the condition that the tire is unsafe due to non-wear/tear. Pretty much means if u hit a nail or damage the tire beyond repair they will replace it. Thats what was preached to me. I think bmw has this in more detail on their site.

Thats what i'm wondering. It seems that hitting 4 separate nails in each of my 4 tires would be quite convenient when my tread is low.

If your tread is below a specific threshold, it's not covered. I'd find out what that is before accidentally running over some nails.

There are different policies out there. Ours is for repair or replacement, and the thread left has to be over 3/32nds of an inch.

So if you are gonna do it, check your policy to make sure your tires have enough thread on them, and make sure to damage them enough that they can't be repaired.

I believe a multiplier is calculated from remaining tread depth and they will pay for that percentage of the tire. ie) they pay for the remaining tread. You pay for the tread you have used so far.

So this plan will not work, if I remember correctly.

You would have to run over the box cutter, vandalism is not covered

Do they only cover run flats? If i got non-RFT after my stock set went out - it would no longer cover right? (does it have to OEM run flats?)

I'm not sure if the run-flat insurance is the same thing as the tire insurance that I was offered when I picked up my car. It was 600 bucks for 3 years, and I specifically asked if any tire I put on the car was covered or if it was just the stock run-flats. They told me that no matter what tire I put on my car run-flat or not, it would cover damage to the wheels and tires.

That's insurance fraud, just to be clear.
We have had 5 tires replaced under the warranty, 3 for punctures, and 2 for impact damage. Just not lucky. The last two were both fronts, and the ins company sent an examiner out prior to approving, so don't imagine they aren't paying attention.
