Stock or tune
I’v been a bit worried about the idea of tuning cars lately for long term durability and any other issues it may cause. My current tune is relatively not aggressive compering to others runnig 400hp+ on the wheels. Also been hearing a lot that N54 is a way under-stressed motor and can easily handle 500+ hp . Currently my car shows 350 wheels hp on dynojet with the following mods :
- Akrapovice Evo + downpipe - Forge FMIC - K & N sport filter - ER charge pipe - Spec +2 clutch with single fly wheels - PP Performance tune My question for you guys, is it fine if I can run on stock tune and only reprogram the ECU to eliminate check engine for the catless downpipe? Will I also lose the functionality of my mods or I will still gain? |

you can use your tune as cel code delete only but that would be a waste of money. These cars can make a lot of power without any problems.
As long as you are not having problems with your car, i would not be worried about it.
