Side Skirts
Anyone know if the Performance Side Skirts match up well with the stock front and rear bumpers of the 135i? I really have no problems with the stock bumpers and even the rear bumper diffuser - but the stock side skirts are boring and I want these...

Performance skirts pics?
So it is asked, so it is done.
My fave cosmetic mod so far, and a fairly easy DIY to boot.

That is fantastic. Awesome look. Nice nice job. To everyone that posted pix - thanks. This is definitely on my list. It really transforms the look. The accent line, highlight and reflection points combined with the agressive sculpted shape really counters the tendency of the 1 to look bathtub like from the side.

Oh... one more thing. All probably painted for you by you favorite neighborhood paint/body shop but did anyone do their own install? If so any DIY tips?
Thanks

Yes, go to this thread for more insider information and tips.
You will want to get yourself an interior trim tool that will make it easy to pop the door sills off. You can get them at virtually any auto parts store for about 8 or 9 bucks. I got my skirts from Dan@UnitedBMW. They came pre-painted for about $400, during one of his specials. I think you'll have fun doing it. It's not hard at all, and the only stressful moments are confined to popping the white tabs that keep the sills attached to the body.
