Question about this tint:
Here is the link to where I will probably have the tint done:
http://www.audioheaven.ca/tint.html Is the Solar Gaurd Non-Reflective Charcoal series good? Is it ceramic? I'm not sure of which one to get, unless somewhere else has better quality tint and workmanship. They quoted me $260CDN+taxes to do my 128i cabriolet... |

Ceramic is not necessary, it just costs more. The only benefit would be if you had SAT radio or something like that where metallic tint can possibly interfere, but it wont interfere with anything else like cellphones, etc. I got Lumar metallic black 35% tint on my sides and rear window for $270 and a clear ceramic 99$ UV blocking tint on the windshield for $120. Lifetime guarantee. Great job, awesome look =D

In another view, I did look at a ceramic black tint on the car they showed me before hand, it actually had light reflective looks to it, i.e. it looked like a mirror. Did NOT like that, so i obviously went with the black metallic, very nice looking and no mirror look to it. |

I asked about that clear tint on the windshield a while back- does it really help with heat??
I have black leather in Florida and need all the help I can get! As for f1 tint, how would you compare it to say huper optic? Or 3m crystalline? |

I have the 3m crystalline clear tint on my windshield, I def notice a diff in heat and temp inside the car. Since Ive gotten the tint i havent gotten into a scalding hot interior, even after its sat in the sun for several hours. Its certainly worth it, if not for the heat decrease then def for the UV blockage.

auto-links.ca
no offense dude but that sounds like a lot of money for some no-name tint. I just had mine done today at www.auto-links.ca in scarborough and they did a great job installing my Llumar Formula1 Pinnacle series (top of the line) ceramic (necessary if you have comfort access) tint....for very near the same price you were quoted. I'd check them out if i were you. I suspect you'd be much happier with F1... if you don't have comfort access, i'm sure the F1 Classic would be fine and is prolly quite a bit cheaper (tho, if you can afford the 40k car, why skimp on the tint). Love my tint!
