Is Petro Canada 94 ok For Stage1+ maps?

Hello guys!

this question is specifically for Canadians who might be aware.

as u guys know Petro Canada is the only Gas station that offers a 94 Octane Gas, now is it Ok to be used for Maps requiring 93 or is this Octane94 only due to the fact of it having Tactrol added ??

Thank you

Hi, I cannot answer your question directly since my car is stock but I found that shell v-power (91) worked better for me than the petro canada 94.. maybe because of the ethanol? Not sure, but my $0.02 is that I wasn't too impressed with the 94 at Petro Canada.

I use Shell because it feels better than Petro
My 128i is mapped to use 91+ octane

chevron 94 claims to contain no ethanol although the lower grades do--not sure what that means!

In Calgary, the Husky 94 gas was tested by a local Tuner on a dyno and it was said to be better than Petro 94.
Petro 94 was similar to Husky 91

i notice a big difference between Shell 91 and Husky 94.

i only use Shell 91 or Husky 94.

I guess husky is out west, since I don't recall seeing them here in Ontario. Anyone have experience with other stations, like Ultramar or MacEwen?

Is shell 91 the best to be had for us out east?

Sorry to jack thread OP. but I'm new to AP. I'm wondering what if I use stage 1 aggressive and I have 91 oct? Is there any consequences? What are the risks?

Btw. Wife used to work at an oil and gas testing company. Best to use husky 94.

The map is intended to be used with non ethanol gas 93 oct or higher. To get the most out of the Husky 94 you would be best to get a protune to get the most out of your tune and fuel mixture.

Petro gas is garbage. Pay the premium for chevron 94. Minimum octane rating of 94 and 0 ethanol.
