Heavy power steering

I've only owned my 135i for two months but I was wondering if it's normal for the steering to be heavy at parking speeds? When driving normally it seems well weighted but at slow cornering or parking turns to be very heavy.

Sounds like the power steering pump going out in that case.

here's the part:

Description even says: "If the steering in your vehicle has started to become "heavy" it is possible that your pump has started to fail."

The steering is not the lightest but there could be many reasons why it might feel heavy. Id suggest a comparison between at least two equivalent cars before condemning parts

Tyres are front 225/40 and rear 255/35. What are the recommended pressures?

I have the same problem but its because I have the M3 steering rack installed. Normally the M3 has assisted power steering under 60kmh but those sensors and wires are not available in the 135i wiring loom.
