iPhone pics do not do these wheels justice. They look really good in person and the color changes quite a bit in different light.

Amazing stuff! When are you guys going to toss up a parts list and an estimated total cost? Help some of us other dudes out looking to make the 1M switch!

I posted all the part numbers in a separate thread.

Pricing:
~$3k in OEM parts from Reeves BMW

~$6k in labor and paint

That excludes wheels, tires and exhaust.

The reason why I wouldn't do the conversion. Not worth it in my opinion. IF I have 10k cash lying around then I certainly wouldn't mind, but I have other priorities. So as long as my car takes me from point A to B, and some tracking on the side, then I'm good, for now. Maybe in the future.

Thank you for sharing all the info! Question though, how much weight do you think the conversion added?

How does the car feel now? Can you feel a huge difference?

Neither of us are sure how much additional weight we added.

The quarters added some additional metal and a little bit of filler but they wouldn't add too much weight. I lost a lot of weight in wheels and gained some in tires. Ill be weighing my entire car next month and comparing it to a stock 135i.

This mod really requires a lot of commitment. To me, the conversion is more of a functional modification and all of the suspension and m3 bits and diff are modded to support it.
You can look the part, or you can look and play the part.

Car looks good...but i think the rear sits a bit too low...don't like the tucked wheel look personally. Way to go with the undertaking for the body work though. My applause for the commitment

Just got through your entire thread -- congrats! Project well done, looks great. Love the "late afternoon" (indirect light) pics; makes the wheels look a deep black cherry.

Good luck on your side markers.
