Did a pressure brake bleed at work. Pedal is a lot firmer and I am happy with it but I think it could be slightly firmer still. Oil change too while at it.

Today for my 135....., a decision was made!
I'm gonna try to fix the drivers side seat heater! I am not good with upholstery stuff, but I guess it's the penance I have to pay for being an idiot and driving my knee into the middle of the seat base while standing outside the car and reaching across to grab something from the passenger side. ((sigh)) Sooooo, anybody know of a good how-to or anything for pulling the seat base apart far enough to reach the heater pad? Bonus points if it's seat heater specific

Yeah, I work at a Ferd dealership, so I can hop in for a couple hours from time to time. Next up soonish learn to use the AC fill machine
Also anyone else do a powerbleed through INPA or ISTA? The pedal feels better but had anyone tried a manual bleed to find just a bit more firmness? I don't think I have any MC issues or vacuum pump issues.

I drained the accumulated water out of the right-side cavity under the trunk, took out the Passive Go module, dried it, DeOxited it and drilled holes in the styrofoam module holder. Then I fabricated a drain tube for the bottom of the compartment and punched out one of the plugs. Now my "electrical system malfunction" warning has stopped and my comfort-access door unlock is working again. I'm hopeful maybe keyless start will also recover.
Anyone ever figure out where the water comes from? That box has 4-inch sides on it before the water gets to the module. This is my second E82 that has done this. First was Year One of the 1 and this is Year Last of the one. That's crazy. |

I ordered on Tues. Struts arrived yesterday. Shocks arrived today. All my misc stuff (bump stops, mounts, etc etc) should get here tmrw or Monday. And I have some h&r sport springs on the way as well. Probably won't get to installing it all for a couple months though.

Finally got around to replacing the sill protectors, the originals were destroyed and really letting the car down. Much better now! Guess I'd better order another door seal too.
Hadn't driven it in two weeks, so took it for a little shakedown after that. Beautiful sunny day to be cruising around with the sunroof open. |

chadillac2000 has a great write-up on using INPA for bleeding from when he redid his brake system early 2017-

Easy to pry up the old and replace with the new? Or did you need any new clips? I noticed how tatty the trim around the sill covers gets and planning to replace mine.

With a slotted trim removal tool it's pretty easy to pop the white clips out without breaking them once the sill protector is off and you can actually see what you're doing. It shouldn't be too hard to do without breaking the part if careful. The trick would be to apply a little pressure upwards on the sill protector before inserting your tool so know you're prying up on the white clip itself and not on the back of the sill protector. I can post pics if that doesn't make sense. |

Got mine from Schmeidmann, was the best price I could find even including FedEx from Denmark to Australia. Had a little tear in my eye as I paid for them.... but I don't really regret it. Between this and fixing the faded vents, the interior of the car is about 98% perfect now. Not bad for a 14 year old car.

For a few days my driver angel light was out but checked it and turned back ON. Today error light on my dash came back and this time the angel light did not come back ON. I ordered a new set. So Easy to replace compared to my E90 where you have to remove the fenders liner. 🙄😂
