I've seen this done also. Really not a big deal, and looks seemless/oem if done right.

Not meaning anything negative from this comment, rather this is just an observation, but almost every automatic 135 I have been looking at is priced HIGHER than the manual models with similar miles/options. Seems really odd to me, but I guess most people in the U.S. like to drive automatics.

The auto's have higher MSRPs, and therefore are technically worth more. But worth/value is tied directly to demand. Find me a cheaper priced, CPO, 21k miles or less, same condition 135i..... you won't. Guaranteed.

Yes, MOST people in the US like to drive auto's. I only do (for this car) since I share a car w/ my girlfriend.... sucks, but at least it can be 400+whp... so can't win them all, but can win some.

I think on this board you will find a different opinion than you will with the general population. I've been looking at 1ers for a while and dealers seem to be charging slightly more for auto's. Manuals also tend to sit on lots longer.

Correct. The avg. person on the forums who has been looking for a used 135i, lately, has been looking for 6MT. On a dealer lot, its the autos that ALWAYS sell better, and there are more of them. Sadly, the manual loving drivers has decreased in percentage from old times, especially for BMW. But there are still many...
