Thanks man. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work, but very gratifying. I am glad it lives in a garage, where it can be protected for a while, but I am dreading that first rain storm.

Regarding my former life, I was an 11A.

Thanks everyone! I had a lot of fun doing the car this past week and am enjoying its pristine cleanliness.

Next week, I will tackle my wife's MB CLK 320, which will really put the Grime Reaper, Sonax, and Megs products to the test. I will definitely take some before shots to document the condition and hopefully be able to get some nice after shots as well.

Great selection of products! Greg at DI is the way to go. Even when Fedex f**** up my package, Greg gets to work and I get it shortly. Although I have to say, its been twice in the 7 orders I placed. I must be buying way too many gallons :P

I couldn't agree more. DI is the best detailing supplier around, as far as I am concerned; I doubt I will ever buy from someone else again and I will refer all of my friends to them. Not only do they stock a ton of products, have incredible information, and respond promptly to questions, but I receive my products in two days. I just placed an order late Sunday night and I received it mid-day Tuesday. That is awesome!

They're also from my home town, so I am happy to support a local business, even though I don't live anywhere near there anymore. Go DI!

Thanks guys! I had some block leave I had to take from work, which gave me the time to focus on detailing the car properly. I figured it was smart to tackle a full detail while I had the time and the weather was so perfect. It was fun.

I worked on my wife's MB CLK 320 today while she was traveling and I had use of the car. I spent 6.5 hours on the paint. It is a 2004 and she doesn't really obsess (unlike yours truly) over the appearance of her sled, so it was a bit rough. In fact, the wheels defied Grime Reaper, Sonax, and heavy scrubbing with a wheel brush and CG Citrus Wash and Gloss. I have no idea what to do about those. The paint looks about a billion times better, but is heavily scarred with road rash on the hood and front fascia; I need some touch-up paint. I will post pics and a full wrap-up after tomorrow's session on the interior, etc. Hopefully she'll notice .

Great looking car!

apologies for bringing up an old thread, but I'm interested to know if you have any interior pics of your car. I'm interested in the same color combo, but can't find pics of an Alaska grey M-sport interior.

would PM, but I'm a new member and haven't met the 3-post threshold.

Thanks!
