Gtechniq Detail job

So I am scheaduled in two weeks to get the car fully detailed to include Getchniq C1 topped with EVOv2, wheels with G5, and glass with G1. I will post pictures and results when it is done. Has anyone had experience with these products?

I was actually curious for the G products as well. I was looking into the glass coatings but couldn't pull the trigger because I haven't read anything about it.

I am looking into getting some gtechniq glass coatings to apply on my cars before winter. I think it is the G1 products I am looking at. After it gets detailed and you had it for awhile, mind if I pm you asking how you like it?

supposedly there were some long-term hazing problems with several batches of the exov2 over the summer. Not sure if they ever cleared up or not, but you may want to check it out.

So I have had the car back for almost a week and I am impressed. Took the car to a wash with high pressure hose today and that is all I had to use. The bugs on the windshield and front bumper just came off no problem. I hit the wheels and there was immediately black droplets flying off, at first I was like what the heck.... Then I realized it was brake dust. It just came off.....all of it with no scrubbing or soap. This is supposed to last three to five years. Can't wait to drive in the rain!!

3-5 years sound like a ridiculous claim to me - just sayin'. I use some of the best products around and I'm happy to get a few months out I them if I don't maintain them. I'd expect that you have to maintain the product with others in the lineup, but I could be wrong. Curious how things look after a few months.

It's a very real claim with permanent coatings today such as Opti-Coat.

Thanks Blu, I am definitely getting G1 for my glass before the winter!

Yeah I had Cquartz on my VW GTI, drive cross country (WA to RI) in the winter, had another winter here all with the car sitting outside 24/7 for 2 years and it still beaded up like the day after I applied it. Nothing more than washing and detail spray ( cheap meguires crap) every once in awhile. I am sold on these types of coatings and I like the gtechniq better than the other so far. I had the G1 put on the glass as well and it's great. Beads and repels water like crazy.

Let me know how it goes. I'm sort of desperate for a good glass coating.

I applied it to the 1er tonight. It is sitting in the garage and the glass looks deceptively clean. I just washed it so I dont want to bring it out in the rain but at the same time I want to!
Now to do 4 other cars!!!

When I picked up the car from the detailer he wanted to throw a bucket of muddy water on the hood. Yeah I said now. That being said nothing sticks to the car or windshield. It like its self cleaning.

Applied it to my 1er and my GTI this week. I FREAKING LOVE IT! It has been raining quite often and I used the wipers 4 times lol.

I am going to apply it to my family's cars now this weekend.

We're nearly at a year since having our 135i done -- paint, glass, wheels, & trim. Excellent results and easy to take care of. The shop' scar (at the time) was a smidgen older than two years since being treated, so the longevity claims aren't claims.

Shoot too late! Get your 1er waxed or coated with something before winter!

I had major frost buildup on my GTI this morning...I put on the windshield wipers for one wipe and it was all gone!

Freaking amazing
