installing a subwoofer

So im getting a 10 inch type r and amp from my friend for free and id like to install it. Is this a hard job? ive never done it before but consider myself to be quite 'handy.'

Can someone tell me what id need or how to do this? I have the basic soundsystem on a Canadian spec 135. Im just getting an amp and sub so i assume ill need some amp wiring kit?

Thanks

amp wiring kit and line in converter(converts factory sound signal into an rca useable source)... the best way to do this is use quick splice connectors to the stock sub and run your rcas to the back of your amp from there . the powers and ground should be cake cause the battery's in the trunk. also you will need an amp turn on wire that could be ran off your cig lighter or if i could find a wiring diagram you could tap into you acc that turns on you bt/usb in the trunk and elminate running a few feet of wire
