New Member intro from Chicago area

Hello guys, just wanted to introduce myself here. Been lurking around the forum for a little while, so wanted to be a apart of community.

My name is Ilya, and I recently graduated from BMW STEP technician training and work at the local bmw dealer as technician. Love the job, always wanted to be working on BMW since my first car, which was (still is) 95 325ia which under went MANY changes and modification.

About 2 months ago I picked up 09 space gray over black 135i with 40k miles on it for a very good price. LOVE the car, although my passenger window regulator failed after a week of ownership

no big deal as its only $100 part.

I love modifying cars so did few small changes to my e82 already, first was black bmw grills, then 10mm spacers I have left over from my e36 and now BMS DCI.. love the sound. Not planning on going crazy with this car just yet, my e36 needs to be drivable again so that's a bit more important.

Having trouble with posting pictures.. So they will have to come later

Welcome and congrats. You will love the sound even more with the Performance exhaust. A lot of people have it and love it.

Indeed!
I used to blast my stereo. Now it stays off as long as I can have my driver window down to listen to the exhaust (even if that entails blasting the heat!).
