Congrats Jason!

We will be looking for those better pics of your sweet ride later today!

Thanks, Jeff - I'll work on some pics tomorrow. The rain was kind of crappy and didn't prevent for any respectable shots so I just used this as an opportunity to learn some of the car's handling characteristics in the rain... Although I haven't taken the car over ~4800 RPMs the car was TOTALLY predictable (just as I'd expected).

Me, safe? That's almost as funny as telling Clayton to keep a car under 100 mph on a test drive!

I'll get some decent pics up ASAP, but can't disgrace my baby by posting up the first REAL shots of her all nasty and dirty. Give me a couple of days!

Thanks, Lili! I can't wait until the bunch of us get together with our cars!

And yes, finally a really nice day (looks like Friday, T-storms Thursday...) - I'll definitely stop and wash it then, but it needs a fair bit of work beyond that. The dealer did a good job of polishing her up, but the paint does have some light scratches that need polishing. I'm hoping to have the afternoon off Friday, so I'll work on it then.

Yeah, yeah, I know. School nights are less-than-ideal for me.

I may take you up on the polisher... I have one and while it's decent, it's no Porter Cable. We'll have to figure out some way for me to get it though. I'm not sure I wanna let our cars get too close since my car will kick your car's ass.

EDIT: GO WINGS!

My car fears nothing!

And if I wasn't so set on NOT going the same very expensive route I went with my Subie, this whole "whose car is teh fastAr!?" game could get very interesting.

I'll give you a ring sometime in the afternoon.

Dear Self,

This car is going to get you in to a lot of trouble. While your Subaru was fast and probably capable of high 11s in the 1/4 mile, 120 mph has never felt so smooth and subdued. Buy a radar detector before Johnny Law decides to corn hole you!

Sincerely,
Jason

Exactly what I thought when I did my test drive.

Hi All,

The Dinan cables are going to be at erhard on coming Monday June 9th. I spoke to Mike at service and he said he'll honor the warranty till 4y or 50K. Any one else int or any ideas for a group purchase?

If there was a decent group buy and they could flash my DME without any issues I'd be all over this. Being that I JUST got the car it's not exactly the way I should be spending ~$2k, but if the savings were decent I'm in.

My idea: tell them to waive the tax and labor fees - $1999.00 out-the-door.

Shawn is very happy with SSTT and is likely sticking with it; however, Clayton is game depending on how good of a price.

You know the drill, man... It's the DINK lifestyle. I don't have any debt outside of my car and my house and still stash/invest a fair bit month-to-month.

My goal for paying off the car ASAP is the same as yours.

But yeah, I definitely wear the lettering off of the cards pretty quickly. Luckily they send new ones every so often!
