Airbag error light??

Had something odd happen on the way to lunch today.
When I started the car the airbag and seatbelt error lights came on and stayed on (even thought I had the seatbelt fastened).
Got to my destination and shut off the car. When I restarted, everything normal.
Anybody else seen this?

You gotta check for codes. Something is wrong.

COuld be the seat sensor starting to go bad. But that is just a guess. You have to read the fault code ad go from there.

I had this with my 370Z. I found out the connector behind the light would sometimes jiggle loose & light would occasionally come on & off. Do have it checked out.

My friend's new 128i had it flip on yesterday. Turned out it was his ditzy girlfriend, her weight on the passenger seat triggered it.

We have had it when something was put under the passeger seat or the seat was moved with something under it, they told us the first time something came loose and they fixed it, we have not yet had it looked at for the second time.

My '08 128i Vert. had the same problem recently and required a repair kit under warranty. All fixed now.

Finally got the code. It was an error light related to turning off the passenger airbag. Which was weird because I never messed with it. My mechanic said nothing to worry about. Just a software bug. Has not reoccurred.
