135i + rear facing car seat = ...
Time for a new car.
I've had my 135 forever in my world, 4 years. But she finally has a new home. I really enjoyed the car, and the attitude here was much better than the 3 series forums and it was a great package, plenty of power in a nice little package that was nimble and great as a commuter/daily driver. I do have some parts that will be going up forsale, including springs/struts, FMIC, cobb, cat back, just have to organize everything. I will miss this group, and probably will buy another 1 or 2 series in 2 years when front facing is once again allowed. For now, i went out in search of something with enough room and looked at 2010-2012 CTS V, E550/63, A6, A8, RL, Eqqus, and ended up with of course another BMW. looked at 535/550 vs 750 and ended up with the 'short' wheelbase 750I x drive. Fortunately Burger makes a tune, so that just arrived, but first impressions are big, smooth and sneaky fast on the highway. Not so much absolute speed but the way it gains speed and rolls along. I"m going to have a difficult time keeping this thing at legal speeds. At 80 mph it's so much quieter and smoother than the 135 that it's very easy to lean on it a bit and end up at 90-100 mph. At least it's space gray so it will fly under the radar a bit better than my bright red 135 did... sorry terrible picture...

Nice car, most people who have kids jump to a 335 from 135 or even a 550 but coming out of a 1 to 7 is like you fit your entire car inside the wheelbase of the 7

we don't have kids...but we are planning soon. spoke to several people who had no issues fitting a rear-facing seat in the back of a 1er.....even better (and safer) when done in the center. trade the 7 back in for a 1 yo!

Well this lasted a long time. Picked up 135 convert last night. Going to make more sense than the vette now that we are 3.
Pics this weekend. Found a super nice 08 from a member here. Sgm on Grey. Everything but navigation with a 6 speed. Should satisfy my need for fun and be just a touch practical. |

I fold one half of the back seat to fit the stroller, and put the baby on the other side. Only way my wife let me get the the car. It worked for us, she just has her own car for the baby.
