but I think any dealer out there would be willing to offer at least 25k for a trade-in (especially including the tax benefits). good luck though!

Yeah, I know. I have a GLi that I've been meaning to turn in after the damned snow stops here in NYC. After that, I'll probably offer much more.

If I could manage to get something cheap now though...

I won't be ready to buy for another 2 months, but will buy if someone is crazy enough to offer me one at this price.

its not much of an outlandish request. Firesales do happen based on people's situations. Although a bit low, cash and quick sale might entice a price.

I think he's in the ballpark. There's quite a few 135i's in the northeast, that fits his description within $4k of his price.
