Thank you. May have found the culprit. This is what another person wrote, do you guys have the fuse for the normal fan removed after the upgraded fan was installed? Maybe BMW didn't pull the fuse for the original fan?

Quote:
This is definitely correct. My only recommendation is that you double check to make sure they pulled the original fan fuse from the fuse box (the PPK2 has an inline fuse, and you don't want the original fan plug to be energized). Find the fuse box behind the glove box. The glove box door drops down and the fuse box is tucked behind the glove box. Locate the cluster of six horizontal fuse positions on the lower right hand side of the fuse box. The cluster contains 6 large fuse positions that are 2 fuses wide x 3 fuses down. In this cluster, the original radiator fan fuse is/was located in the top right fuse location. This location should be empty now.

For all 135is owners, do you have a Fuse in the location in the attached image? Ignore the red arrow, the location is marked by my Green Arrow

It was a gap purchase meant for my wife since we also took the buyback for our Q7 TDI from VWoA. We got an SQ5. The dealer was surprisingly generous towards my 135is trade. It wasn't a no brainer. After a couple of days with it, I might just keep it for myself.

Sure...
They gave me $21k. Considering the tax savings, convenience, and the carfax record of my accident (rear ended with bumper cover damage) in 2016, it was well worth it.

Did you happen to get your airbag recall performed? I'm contemplating selling/trading (for a JKU) but scared that without the replacement it will hurt the potential value.

nope. there were no available airbags. it did not affect my price. there are millions of cars there affected by the recall. there are not enough supply to fix them especially with Takata being (practically) out of business.

Anyone here with an AW 135is driving on the Fairfax County Parkway just after 6pm today? I passed you but you seemed unaware your 135is brethren was next to you.

Cute little black spoiler btw.

Due to the rarity of these cars you would think they would have noticed at a minimum, if not gone all out and rolled down the windows, honked the horn three times, downshifted into 3rd and had a nice go at it with you. Ok, at least something in between would have been acceptable. There is no way they are on Bimmerpost or they would have known the proper etiquette.

In fact, I was in sport mode, making sure my exhaust was making it's mating call sounds.

Like I said, you were on the ready in the event their horn honked 3 times. My girl finds it amazing that the few times this has happened to us, I was on the ready and we both slingshotted at the same time.
"Mating call sounds" hilarious.

Well looks like it's going to happen. I went and ordered a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon this morning. It will be bittersweet to let go of my 135is but the time for me to move on has come. I will be posting it for sale soon as I have about 8 weeks until the vehicle is built and delivered. This forum and thread have been fantastic and I will continue to be active.

Almost thought it could've been me, but I'm pretty aware of my surroundings while driving and don't have a black spoiler or let people pass haha.

How many 135is are in the Bay Area? I've seen two besides mine. I figure there are more.

I'm in San Mateo. When I bought it there were 3 or 4 for sale around the area.
