Too much power?
OK, since the Cobb Starge 1+ FMIC, full exhaust except DP and 5" FMIC I can't push the pedel more than 1/10 on it without the car cutting power and turning on the tracktion light.
Any ideas? I mean off the line I have to baby the car to about 40 till I can actually get on it. Kind of takes the fun out of it. |

What kind of tires are you running now? Don't say stock runflats......but a better set of tires will help the car with traction issues. Going up one size will help as well. So if you're running stock sizes now, 215 fronts and 245 rears, then 225 fronts and 255 rears will fit with no issues. I believe some people can get 275s on the rear with slight issues but it's only certain brands of tires that will fit.
A good set of 255 sized tires will surely help immensely. Non-run flat tires I might add. Run flat tires are not good for performance. |

Yes, press the DTC button once for engaging dynamic traction control or press and hold it to turn off all traction control. Drive at your own risk. Try engaging DTC first and see if that helps.

Giant button above emergency lights. I have a DCT and if you press it once it disengages the traction control but has limited use. Hold it down until you see the dashboard light turn on and itll be completely disengaged

I do a one-push for everyday driving, and a fully-hold push if I want to be silly and do crazy stuff like go sideways.
One push seems to suffice for most applications. Even get a decent launch at the strip on DTC. |

Stock tyres with stock power is a nightmare, let alone stock power with tuned power.
Bin the tyres ASAP and sort the suspension. Should have done that before tuning the engine really. Whats the point of power you can't use.

Cobb offers various throttle mappings for their tunes. Try the linear throttle map or any of the others really and see if you like any of them better.
Also, since you're in San Diego, next autocross @ Qualcomm is this Saturday. Come on by and learn how your car handles without traction control on in a controlled environment |

Be careful if you turn DTC off, you will not realize how often it was reducing power in a corner or curve and you did not know it.
I've seen the yellow light flashing on the dash, traction control coming on at over 80 mph, or higher. Just a warning, get familiar with the car, I have had mine really sideways and thankfully recovered with DTC off at high speed. I do suggest auto-x, auto-cross on a closed course, as a way to find the limits of your car with DTC off, because you will never be able to drive that hard on the street, or shouldn't be. Too much power takes the fun out of it? Does not compute
If my tyres are cold I'll spin third from a roll. Good quality immature fun. |

I agree, friends that drive my car i have to tell, you can't stab the throttle because the tires will spin, stay on the edge of tire spin.
Same shit you hear, I have a friend with 1350 whp Supra, he never floors the car, because you can't. But, it's really freaking fast in a mile. |

One thing I am not liking about my Cobb Accessport 2+ Agressive right now is no boost on gear like JB4... I went to the track FBO, Manual, 275/18/35 rears and ran 13.2 all day at 110...
I know there was some serious driver error and I will admit that all day, but all 15 passes I made I had issues not burning through first, and second. |
