M logo next to the 128i
Is it possible to buy a ///M Badge to put right next to the 128i badge on the trunk?
I am planning to buy the door sills, shift knob, M steering wheel insert. would this complete the look nicely or is it just poser? i am in Canada so the m package wasnt available for the 128i. |

What can you possibly gain by doing this other then trying to fool yourself.
Those who know BMWs know it doesn't belong. Those who don't know BMWs don't care. |

nuff said fellas. Dont burn me for asking I didnt do it !!
Of course if I am asking if its poser is because I obviously recognize it is or could be... I saw a 135i with that ///M logo next to it on the trunk. is this and addon or does it come with the M package? Also my only remaining question is then... what about the u.s. model of the 128i with M package. does it have a trunk badge? because I was thinking of importing my 128i from the u.s. with the M package but this is close to impossible because of various well known issues. so I was thinking of doing it myself. |

The U.S model does not have the M logo right next to the 128i. However, if you have the Sport-package, you will have the M-sterring wheel, side doors, shift knob and seats

I dunno about the 2009 models, but on the 2008 I didnt get any of that. It was only avaliable for the 135i w/ sport.

Ah ha!
so that 135 I saw with the M badge was a poser! wish I took a picture, the badge really was disproportionate. now this is explained. Ok nevermind that then, I will do the indoor changes to M parts because they plain look sick and the inside is for me to enjoy right. Do not worry... You wont be seeing me doing that to my car. thanks all! |

come on guys! We had this same discussion with me a few months back. I semi agree it is a bit poser-ish considering it's a 128, but bottom line is that it's his car and he can do what he pleases to it. Unless you pay his payments then you've got no room to talk. If it makes you happy then do it, no point in listening to other people's opinions about YOUR car. Always remember opinions are like asses everyone has them and they all stink!
