Tire/Wheel Size Voiding Warranty?

I'm sure this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything in the search. For those of you who downsize to 17" rims in the winter, and square tires, is there any concern for voiding the warranty? From what I understand wheels/tires are not covered under the warranty, but what happens when say your suspension randomly starts having problems?

Since the base wheel size for the 135i is 17", why would that have anything to do with "random suspension problems"?

Now square tires might be an issue - I've always preferred the round ones.
