Someone may, I'll eventually certainly have FBO #s for the cobb, after the fmic gets put on I'll re-dyno on Stg1, then again with downpipes on stg2+. Unless they come out with Stage 1+ before I get downpipes then I give that a shot.
@Jeff- According to Cobb's site the maps are indeed available to the Public but are still in Beta. I'm not sure what you mean by lowballed, cleraly the JB4 is not performing as intended but nothing was done to artificially lower its #s.

Wow! Thanks for posting this!!
I am sooooooo glad I got a flash tune on my N54 - ESS. I was close to buy JB4 but having done my research I settled on a flash-at-home solution. When I take the car in for a service and all I have to do is hook it up and flash back to stock. As for DCI I think Cobb recommend using the stock intake as per their testing. I am very happy Cobb did this research and made it public (note: INDEPENDANT TESTS - they gain no $$$ out of it). Again, less hassle come service time and warranty INTACT! |

These engines are known for low RPM torque yet these graphs don't show this. Why? I can't see these tunes creating that much lag given they are using the same small turbos. |

Peak torque doesn't occur at what BMW claims. There is quite a bit of lag there. Also, the N55 supposedly builds it's torque a bit lower than the N54, and that graph shows the opposite. Even with the high tech servotronic intake, the N54's torque curve is broader and smoother. The N55 has a higher "peak" but it's more of a spike, and it dies quicker, which is contrary to what BMW claims about the N55. These graphs don't support the claim that twin scroll has better low rpm torque build, nor that it has better high rpm torque. |

Sometimes doing that will cause knock !! Having the ramp up to hard on the low rpm is not healthy !There's a reason for this tuning aspect.also note, all turbos have lag on the low end.. |

BMW's peak torque RPM claims have always mystified me...they must do it in 6th gear and go WOT at 1K rpm to get it to spool so early.

sluflyer06... you need to meet up with me and some of the other 1er guys in the area (Bogart, onefastman, RxBMW, dawild1, etc.) sometime.
Also, thanks for the dyno, it further justifies my Cobb AP purchase over the piggy tunes... how much did that shop charge you for dyno time? I'm thinking of organizing a bunch of local BMW guys for a dyno day sometime in the future.

If you're on Facebook we have a pretty large StL BMW group... PM me if you want the link to the group (good way to get updates on meets, etc.).

Hate to say it champ but: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ock+intake+dci
Cobb stage 1 bear in mind, but still... This is INDEPENDANT testing. And with 5 runs a piece to boot. See also: http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/2011/06/...ir-box-vs-dci/ I have DCI too but I removed them in favor of the stock setup with a drop-in filter. Note: ESS ALSO recommend the stock setup + drop-in. They do not actively sell DCI. Higher boost levels + meth etc then yes, there is a benefit to DCI. |

11.9@114 looks like your making some great power so why sell? Cobb doensn't have meth maps yet anyway. Assuming everything is good. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Not a whole lot of info here...
What map was the JB4 on? How many adaption runs did you give each tune, stock, JB4 and Cobb? What tune did you drive to the dyno on?

Map 1. Adaptation runs? I'd been running Map 1 for at least a week+ as a daily driver, so countless WOT runs. Stock didn't get any adaptation and doesn't show it needed any either. Drove to the dyno on Map 1.
