Driver Dynamics Haunted Hills hill climb

What is going on? 45 cars... 3 Mazda, 2 rotaries, 1 RX-8, 1 Porsche, 1 BMW, all other Nissan???

No. What you need is...

A Nokia Smartphone [Me = E71] (now a Window mobile version available)
A Bluetooth GPS unit (I have a 5Hz)
A OBD scanner (OBDkey)

and some software download free from racechrono.com

I am thinking of going to Alpine Classic. May have to train very hard during summer anyway for March's Mt Holtham bike ride.

I update the RaceChrono software as there is a new beta version out.

There is a standing start mode .... where you can start calculating time when speed > 0. I actually did a 1:00.91

I have that E34 M5 in at work doing some upgrades before next DD day. I'm taking my old car to the one in early Nov.

Only 1 BMW in the last Haunted Hills.

What is going on?

The car is at the track again today this month. I was keen to get the car under 60 seconds. The racechrono program has been improved since last time.

The standing start function is important in hillclimb. I don’t want to cross the line and then start the clock. That inevitably will underestimate the time. But if you start the time when the car moves, then it is more accurate.

Well the real hill climb start when the starting gate release you… include your reaction time to start the car.

Racechrono is way ahead on most GPS based timing system, including Performance/Drift box. YAY!
