Need help using BMWHAT
Good Day. I have recently bought BMWhat and i'm having a hard time understanding the different options / alternatives. For example wanted to use the comfort unlock option where you just press one time the unlock button and have both driverside and passenger side doors open. I tried coding it but it didn't work. I see there are several alternative options. Am i supposed to activate all the alternates? Or do i have to choose one by one and see which one works? Same thing with the Corona Ring brightness. I tried to activate that but i don't see a difference and again there are several alternative options to brighten. Am i supposed to activate all or try one by one to see which one works?

That option is in the BC or iDrive. You can select ALL doors or only the driver's door to unlock/lock. Read your owner's manual for more info.

Either way you CAN set these functions!
Use the BC (board computer) button on the end of the turn signal stalk and enter your car's menu. You can setup how your door locks and unlocks. I guess you don't want to read your owners manual so here you go... LHD car... (same for RHD models)

Yeah, I know I need to RTFM. The buyer of my M3 let me know it had launch control after I sold it to him. Might have been a fun thing to play with. Edit: 1) The engine has to be in the on position, 2) There are 2 different "Key" icons in the menu. It was the 2nd one. Out of eagerness I tried the first one, which clearly wasn't it. Also, yes you can code your AE's with BMWHAT. I did. Last edited by 135ivert; 11-13-2014 at 05:32 PM.. |
