Anyone had performance seats fitted in their 1M ?

When I collected my car, they said they couldnt code the seat heating function to work. All the airbags/etc are fine but they said it was a software issue that may require some sort of update. The dealer has been great and offered to pick the car up in a covered transporter when the 1st service is due, at which time they'll try to fix the seats.

Anyone else in the UK (or beyond) had the performance seats fitted with fully work seat heating ?

Thanks!

Yup. Mine has the Performance seats and the heating works fine. I asked my dealer if they had any problems replacing the seats and they said "no". They have installed the seats in a load of other cars and no problems so far.

Sure, no problem. The dealer is located in Germany, probably won't do you much good. But this is them:

Where are the performance seats listed for sale? Are they compatible with the power adjustable seat setup?

There's many people who have the Performance Parts seats fitted in their 1M, including me.
I haven't tested the seat heating yet (not needed this time of year) but I'll try it and get back to you.

In one of the previous threads some weeks ago, there was even the PDF posted from BMW mechanic information, on how to install the performance seats.

There was a German tuning company (TMT something I wanna say) that had a very well documented page on the 1///M tuning offerings and their specific mods. Not only did they fit the BMW Perf Seats, they reupholstered them with orange stitching to match the rest of the interior. Looked great!

The dealer has agreed to collect the car on a covered transporter when the first service is due, and will recode then. I was just hoping I could put them in touch with a dealer/service department that has done this before to speed up their ability to find the solution!

Thanks! Am seriously considering that... The Alcantara in the performance seats is a good match to the door/dash trim. So it would be great to have the stitching changed to orange to make them look perfect. Anyone know of a trimming company in the UK that could be trusted with the task ?...

Was the problem with the passenger seat sensor or were there issues with the drivers seat as well? (I'm just looking at installing the Driver's side on my US spec 1M )

Thanks

its the lack of the seat sensor in the PS. all airbags were disabled without it.

Great, so if I install the driver's side but leave the passenger seat alone, I should be good to go

I believe John at Thorneymotorsport in Milton Keynes is up to speed on fitting these seats. They have carried out the fitting of the performance seats for the local BMW dealership.

I would rather take a sledgehammer to my 1M than take my car there

Pull the seat sensor from the stock seat, plug it in and tape it under the performance seat, win?
