If you really want Euro headlamps, but are balking at the price of Genuine OEs, maybe consider a set of Valeos, which I'm pretty positive are OEM. I saw some on eBay earlier this month for about $500/lamp. Just Google "Valeo" plus the part number of the lamp (just remember that there are AHL [i.e., adaptive] and non-AHL versions with different part numbers, and all US xenons were AHLs - the price I mentioned above was for AHLs).

I did the pre-LCI US-spec to LCI Euro-spec conversion a couple of years ago; I bought OE lamps from Schmiedmann. It was pretty pricey even back then, but it has only fotten more expensive (I think >$1000/lamp!). If I were doing it all over again, I would definitely go the OEM route.

I'm pretty sure all new BMW headlights and maybe even taillights are made by Valeo.

Actually Valeo just repackages OEM stuff. They don't actually make them but usually just as good.

I have a spare set of oem euro spec headlights available. (non adaptive) these are bare (no bulds etc). They have had condensation/water on the inside of the lens so they require opening up and cleaning. I attempted this with one of the units but i had not succeeded as the bonding sealant is so strong. They are not damaged they just require cleaning inside. Pm me an offer if interested.
