‘Yeehaa’ BMW shift knob mailer: only for 7er owners?

Did anyone on the forum get a ‘Yeehaa’ shift know direct mailer from BMW, or was it only for 7er owners? I know a 7er owner, but I’m wondering if they sent it to 5 / 3 series owners as well.

It’s a direct mailer that BMW sent out (I know someone with a 750Li) that has a metal shift knob mounted on a metal plate, and on the shift knob instead of having the traditional 7 gears (6 + R) written out on the ‘H’, it says: Yeehaa.

I wish I had a picture…

OOOhhh. I saw one of those on a CA's desk when I was test driving. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Yeah, don't think they would just send that out to all 3-series owners though. Too bad. :-\

My SA had one on their desk. Instead of a shift knob that says:

R - 1 - 3 - 5
2 - 4 - 6

It had

Y - E- E - E
H- A - A

The E38 in Europe was available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Which is just so awesome, they were the only car company of the big three in Germany to offer a manual tranny on the top of the line sedan.

wow, that was like 10-15 years ago though.

i would still think they would rather offer it to ///M owners or even 3-series owners. just seems more appropriate.

5 years ago. The E38 ended production in 2001. And yes, since their cars have actual shift knobs it would be more appropriate.
